How Cora collects your feedback, through thumbs up and thumbs down on Signals and conversational feedback in chat, and how it improves detection quality.

Overview

Cora collects your feedback in two ways, and both improve the quality of what it detects. You can react directly to the signals Cora surfaces, and you can tell Cora anything in chat. Every piece of feedback helps Cora get better at finding the moments that matter to your team. This article covers the feedback you give Cora about its own detections. To gather feedback directly from your customers, such as CSAT or NPS, use surveys instead. See Creating and Sending Surveys.

Feedback on Signals

Every detected event on the Signals tab has a thumbs up and a thumbs down control. Hover over them to see the tooltips Good detection and Bad detection. Use them to tell Cora whether a signal was right. When you give feedback, a short modal opens so you can add a reason. For a thumbs up it is titled What went well?, and for a thumbs down it is titled What went wrong? Reasons for a positive rating:
  • Correct classification
  • Useful insight
  • Good severity
  • Other
Reasons for a negative rating:
  • Incorrect classification
  • Miscategorized
  • Not useful
  • Misattributed
  • Other
You can also add an optional note with more detail. You can update or delete your feedback at any time. The modal has Delete, Cancel, and Submit Feedback buttons, so you can change your reason, remove your feedback entirely, or save your changes.
A thumbs down does more than record your opinion. It also removes the event from health rollups and digests, so a signal you have flagged as wrong stops affecting your account health and stops appearing in summaries.

Feedback in Chat

You can also give Cora feedback just by talking to it in chat. Chat feedback is conversational, so there is no thumbs up, thumbs down, or rating on individual chat messages. You can share feedback on almost anything, including:
  • A specific signal
  • An account
  • The product itself
  • The data Cora is working with
  • Anything else on your mind
There are two ways to start. You can simply tell Cora in chat, for example by describing what was helpful or what missed the mark. You can also use the Share feedback link in a weekly digest email or Slack alert, which opens chat ready for your feedback. Before saving, Cora shows you a summary of what it understood and asks you to confirm. It will ask, “Does this look right? I’ll save it once you confirm.” Once you approve, Cora replies, “Saved, thanks for sharing.”

How your feedback is used

All of this feedback improves Cora’s signal detection accuracy over time. Thumbs up and thumbs down teach Cora which detections were right, your reasons and notes explain why, and your chat feedback adds broader context. Cora uses these inputs to tune how it detects and classifies events going forward.
